After putting aside Immortal Island because it seemed too depressing and dark, I looked through my notebooks where I stored my brainstorms for possible stories to write in the future. Unfortunately, every single one of them is either sad, horrific, or absurd. Some of my notes are actually illegible and some are so sketchy or convoluted, I can’t follow my thoughts. Therefore, I might just plug away at Immortal Island, hoping some positive message can eventually be threaded through the plot.
