I’m wondering if I will need to revise my summary of Immortal Island when I am finished with the story as it is heading down an unexpected path. I hope it will be as surprising and interesting to readers as it is to me as I am writing it.
Speaking of unexpected paths, I was informed of a writing contest recently with a deadline of August 31, 2019. Although entering contests is completely out of character for me, if I can finish Immortal Island by then, perhaps I will enter my manuscript. What would be the worst that could happen? Losing, of course, in which case I will be no worse off than I am now. However, there is a chance, albeit slim, that I could win. So, wish me luck, please.
