St. James School – The Spirit of Troy

In my work on The Spirit of Troy, I wanted to find a school that actually existed in Maryland during the Civil War.  St. James School in Hagerstown, Maryland was founded in 1842 and to this day is a well-regarded educational institution.  I did take some fictional license in the story regarding the school, but, nonetheless, St. James School was and still is a very highly regarded school.
