Captivating and Emotionally Complex

This is by far the most intriguing book I have read in a long time. Arleen has found a way to bring about such an amazing spectrum of emotions. At times I loved, hated, sympathized with and wanted to slap both the protagonist and antagonist. I found myself thinking about this story through out the day because of it’s amazing depth and complexity. Arleen is a truly talented writer and did a magnificent job of creating a story that captivates her readers while taking them on an emotional roller coaster ride. I will be rereading this story for years to come.

Gripping and Wonderful

This is one of the best books I have read. The three days that it took me to read it were encapsulated with daydreams of myself as the main character. Arleen takes you through the whole spectrum of emotion and leaves you… well you’ll have to read it to find out. An incredibly enjoyable read, it flew by and I was bummed when the thrillride was over. I cannot wait to read more from Arleen. Highly recommended.

I loved this book!! I had a hard time putting it down! It held my interest from page one up to the end! I felt like I was right there with Danny, wishing I could give her my advice, knowing she wouldn’t take it. I would highly recommend this to anyone to read. I plan on passing this on to my kids to read as well as my friends. It would be nice if it was just a little bit more compact and portable.

I met Arleen at the Womens expo in Erie PA where we both live. She was extremely pleasant and nice. She told me and my 2 friends about her book and I was intrigued. I got a copy of the book and started reading it as soon as I could!! Having been through domestic violence myself I felt myself being pulled into the book!! I felt I was a part of Danny and her story!! I have twin boys that I stay home and take care of and it was so hard to put the book down sometimes. HA! It was absolutely the best book I have read all year and I am an absolute AVID reader!! I know a good book when I read one and I am honestly in love with this book. It is not only intriguing but factual as well!!!

Packed with roller coaster suspense

I read Cliodhna’s Wave this summer. I truly give this book and the writer Arleen Anderson 5 stars. Cliodhna’s Wave is packed with roller coaster suspense. It’s about two families of different upbringings and what happens when two young people fall in love. You will experience deep emotions and come away with the knowledge of what drugs, alcohol, mental and physical abuse can do. The ENDING BLEW ME AWAY!!! I highly recommend this book especially to young people of high school and college age, men and women of all ages. The families of this book were raised in Erie, PA. It was fun to recognize the different areas.

Sucked in within the first chapter

This book is absolutely captivating. I can’t put it down, and when I do, I just day dream about it. Knowing Arleen personally, I was blown away at the words she put on paper. Here and there she would bring a paper from home with notes for me, but on the other side was a paragraph from the book; and every time I read one, I was more and more curious about it. This book is wonderful, and I would recommend it to any one for a good read that you can’t put down.

I read several books a month that cover all areas. I just love to read. Some are very easy to read and capture your attention, and some are very dry and take forever to read. This book by Arlene captured my attention immediately and was very easy to follow. I thought that the story line was excellent, and the main characters were brought to life, and told an amazing story of really true life that very much happens every day. This was not a book that I normally read but I was very happy that I did. I can’t wait to see and read her next venture. Arlene has a real talent,and her books are sure to do well.

Cliodhna’s Wave is a page turner full of emotions as abuse as two worlds collide. I was held captive right from the beginning. The story came to life with Arlene’s descriptions. This book will keep you on the edge right to the very unexpected ending. I typically don’t read this type of book but I am very glad that I did because I now look forward to Arlene’s next book.
