Slow Progress

As ambitious as I was in the beginning of the year, I am having trouble staying on track with my New Year’s resolutions due to my frustrations with politicians and my worries about the demise of democracy.  I have been taking an exorbitant amount of time emailing, posting on Facebook, sending Tweets to our representatives, throwing my two cents out there, even though I know my efforts are futile.  However, venting is all I can do, so, I’m just adding my voice to the chorus of those screaming that the world is crashing down, telling others to pay attention and get involved so maybe we can collectively restore the heart, morality, and ideals of our country.  It really shouldn’t be necessary for us every day Joe Citizens to take our personal time to tell our elected representatives to do their jobs.  They were sworn in to uphold our Constitution and to represent the will of the people honorably.   They were elected because we thought they had leadership skills, that they had a backbone to stand up to corruption and to challenge power when they see dishonesty, injustice, and cruelty.  Their job is to do something about it!  Perhaps we will need to flood the streets in Washington like the people did in Hong Kong and Puerto Rico.

Despite my overwhelming worries about what is happening in our country at the hands of the corrupt administration headed by Putin’s pick, BLOTUS, I am occasionally managing to do a little work now and then on one of my projects, Immortal Island.  It won’t be completed by the deadline I set, but it will get done unless BLOTUS manages to get us into a nuclear war which wouldn’t really shock me.  It would be the greatest distraction from his treason and lawlessness he could possibly come up with.

This is what we should do about BLOTUS.
