Tourist Trap is an adventure/suspense story about a college student, Marili McAdams, who, after spring break, decides to move to Key West, Florida with not much more than hopes, dreams, and a half-baked idea of how to survive. Unbeknownst to Marili, every spring for the past number or years, college kids have been disappearing from Key West. Marili hasn’t been living in Key West for very long when it appears she might have to return home. In order to stay, she blindly places her trust in a stranger, Carl Tacket (a/k/a Carlos Tequesta), who turns out not to be the benevolent soul she thinks he is. Unable to stay in Key West, Marili decides to try her luck in The Big Apple. She has a series of misadventures and sees a news report on television about missing college students in Key West. In her heart, she knows Carlos Tequesta is the serial killer police are looking for and returns to Key West to prove it.
