From the time Trump announced he was running for president, his behavior and hateful rhetoric made me feel as though our country was in the midst of an abusive relationship from which we couldn’t extricate ourselves. Now that we have filed our divorce papers, we must be ready for what our abuser will do while waiting for the divorce to be finalized on January 20, 2021. Hopefully, after that we will move on in a positive way. His presence on this earth will be diminished to simply an occasional vulgar annoyance and a bad memory from which we will have learned, and we will never again make the mistake of allowing a corrupt narcissist with autocratic tendencies to be the head of our household.
