My books are my children. Birthing books may not be as painful as birthing a child, but the gestation period is definitely a long struggle. Some of my children have been born premature and have needed special TLC before they have been mature enough to greet the world. Be the development process difficult and complicated or not, I am always proud when I feel a child of mine is ready to try to touch the hearts of people. My greatest pleasure is realized when my books are actually read and enjoyed. Only then can I say my children are truly alive.
Unfortunately, it is usually necessary for readers to pay travel expenses for a child of mine to reach their homes.
