I say “almost” because of the continued dismantling of our democracy by the “Supreme” Court. Their decisions have stripped our freedoms and ignored/overturned the will of the people. SOCTUS’ decisions hand in hand with the Republicans in Congress have continually blocked progress in important issues supported by the majority of Americans, i.e. gun legislation, reproductive health, ending corruption in government, etc. There is still a glimmer of hope democracy can be restored. Currently, however, democracy is on its deathbed.
