WHERE ARE OUR LEADERS?

What mystifies me when I attend protests against the destruction of our democracy by grifters is the glee of my fellow protesters. I am not happy to be there. I can think of a thousand things I’d rather be doing than holding a sign for two hours in the cold, heat, rain, or even in perfect weather. While the speeches, songs, powerful poems, and music are gratifying to hear, it is not a party or celebration. Sometimes I wonder if it is actually a planned party set up by those being protested to make commoners like me think, “I’m doing something. I’m doing my part.” The truth is, it doesnt seem like we’re achieving anything because I don’t see any concrete, meaningful results from these massive gatherings.

It’s maddening to hear politicians, our so-called elected leaders, tell the public, “It’s up to you–the people.” Well, you elected politicians were once one of us, the people, who claimed to want to be leaders, who begged for money and support to become a leader for us, the people, and now you have the nerve to sit back and tell us, it’s up to the people. Yes, we have done our part and elected you to be leaders for us per your entreaties. So lead! Do something to clean up this mess, to stop the demolition of our country and the ideals upon which it was founded. Don’t sit on your hands and tell us you can’t do anything but wait for elections. Don’t say you have to stick to the rules. The rule book has been shredded. The Constitution has been used as toilet paper by the grifter in chief. Our Supreme Court has bowed before our felonious pedofile squatting in the White House and granted him immunity for anything he does while he is in office as long as he can allege it is part of his official acts. They have ruled he is no longer of the people, he is above the people, above the law, and has become what all politicians seem to strive to achieve–to be elevated to a position above the people, the common people who elected them. They all seem to conveniently forget where they have come from and their promises to us.

Those that want their lives to improve are labeled “The Radical Left” or “Liberals.” I cannot get it through my head why being liberal is a negative thing. Of course I’m a liberal. Anyone who believes in liberty is a liberal. I’d think everyone in the United States is actually a liberal. Right now we want to be liberated from the servitude to which we are being trapped by the rich and powerful who have been elected by wannabe rich and powerful peons who kiss their feet hoping to be lifted up because of their supplication.

Politicians who have appealed to liberals and have been elected are cowed by the label “Radical Left” or “Liberal” and ignore it. I would like to remind you, you have been elected as a leader on your liberal platform. You are a leader of “The Radical Left,” “The Radical Libs” and it’s time you do something radical. These times are screaming for it. The people are screaming for it. The “Radical Right” is proud to be radical and ignore the needs of the people. It’s time you lib leaders figure out how to stop the right and fight fire with fire–use their new rule book that has no rules. Things have been turned upside down by the radical right ever since January 2025. Every day a new outrageous, illegal or immoral action is perpetrated, almost every hour, and there is no counteraction from the not so radical left. It’s time the left becomes radicalized and answers.
